McFarland, Wisconsin – On 06/26/2022 at about 1:46am, a McFarland officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound on US Highway 51 near Farwell Street that appeared to be driving on the roadway with a flat tire. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found that front driver’s side wheel was missing a majority of the tire and was mostly driving on the rim.

The driver, 57-year-old Brian Lysne of Stoughton, exhibited signs of impairment while speaking with the officer. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were completed with Lysne and he was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Lysne had four prior convictions for operating under the influence, making the arrest his fifth offense. He was transported to the Dane County Jail and booked in for the arrest.

Additional charges of felony bail jumping, possession of THC, and possession of an illegally obtained prescription are being forwarded to the Dane County District Attorney’s Office for review as well.
